Gangotri Yamunotri tour package from Haridwar is divine journey of Yamuna Ji and Ganga ji Temple.  This package start from Haridwar and we cover Yamuna temple in Yamunotri and Ganga temple in Gangotri Dham. Both temples comes in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand.

Day 01: Haridwar /Dehradun – Barkot (170 kms /07-08 hrs approx)

Upon Arrival at Dehradun Airport /Haridwar Railway Station meeting with driver then drive to Barkot via Mussoorie En-route visit Kempty fall. Upon arrival check in to the Hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Barkot.

KEMPTY FALL :

Gigantic Fall with somersault of the streams before hitting the bottom, Kempty Falls is the most popular and one of the oldest tourist spot near Mussoorie. Developed before more than 150 years ago by a British man, Kempty Falls is the most fascinating picnic spot or a perfect day out place nearby Mussoorie at a distance of 15 km.

Day 02: Barkot –Jankichatti – Yamunotri – Barkot (50 kms/ & 6 kms. trek one way)

After an early breakfast proceed to Yamunotri, 50 Kms drive up to Jankichatti then 6 Kms treks to Yamunotri (Doli /Pony options are available on direct payment basis ) here one can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in
Jamunabai Kund and having “Darshan” of “Yamunaji”, return back to Jankichatti, drive back to Barkot. Dinner & Overnight stay at Barkot.

YAMUNOTRI :

Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Yamunotri temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri is the source of revered river Yamuna which originates from the Champasar Glacier lying 1 km ahead of the shrine situated at an elevation of 3235mts above sea level. The approach is extremely difficult and pilgrims therefore offer Pooja at the temple itself. Yamunotri was the home of an ancient sage Asit Muni. Yamuna is the daughter of the Sun just like Yama who is considered his son. It is believed that Yama would not torment any person at the time of death who takes a holy dip in Yamuna, his sister.

SURYA KUND:

There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important is Surya Kund.

Day 03 : Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 Kms/ 4 hrs)

After breakfast drive to 100 Km.to reach Uttarkashi. Check in to hotel, evening free for relax & local temple visit. Dinner & Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

UTTARKASHI:

Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers; Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and Ghats and likewise, a north or ‘Uttar’ facing river. The major temple is the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Two other very important temples are located in the Chowk area. These are the Annapurna Temple and the Bhairav Temple. It is said, that once there were 365 temples here. Hiuen Tsang referred to this place as Brahma Puran, while the Skanda Puran has recorded it as Varunavata. It is believed that in the second millennium of Kaliyug, Kashi will be submerged, and Uttarkashi will replace it as an important religious centre.

Day 04 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (90 kms one way /4 hrs. drive one way)

After breakfast leave for Gangotri early in the morning, Post offering prayers & pooja darshan at Gangotri Temple later drive back to Uttarkashi, Dinner & Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

GANGOTRI:

Gangotri temple is 18th Century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. Accordingly to another legend, Pandavas performed the great “Deva Yagna” here to a tone the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made up of white granite.

Day 05 : Uttarkashi – Haridwar / Dehradun (169 kms. / 04-05 hrs.) (Drop)

After early Breakfast leave for Dehradun Airport/Haridwar Railway Station & Drop for onward journey.

  • AC will not turn on while the vehicle at hills.
  • Bus Seat numbers will be allotted on first cum first serve basis only. (Applicable on Group Departures only)
  • Tour cost does not include at Railway station, porter charges, Doli, Helicopter ticket, Laundry, Telephone, Guide Charges, tips, entry fees if any, donations coolie at temples, extended stay or travelling due to any reason.
  • Tour Company reserves the right to publish the passenger’s photograph or group photograph which taken during the tour if wishes so.
  • Type of transport vehicle can be changed in case short of passengers or low turnout of tourist our intention is not to disappoint tourist or cancellation of tour.
  • To make the booking, a non-refundable deposit of Rs. 10,000/- is required. Once this has been received confirmation of your booking (in form of an invoice) will be sent to you .The balance amount must be paid 30 days prior to the departure date of tours. Otherwise we may treat the booking as being cancelled by you.
  • All the payments made by Cheque or Demand Draft should be in favor of “MAHENDRA DESTINATIONS PVT.LTD”.
  • The price quoted in our brochure has been calculated at the rate prevailing at the time of printing this brochure. The company reserves the right to amend the prices published in the brochure.
  • The customer has to bear the proportionate tour cost of extended stay or travelling due to extraneous circumstances.
  • In unavoidable circumstances proposed hotels may be changed and that shall be acceptable to you.
  • The company reserves the right to cancel at any time any/all the tours without assigning any reason. In such cases the company’s responsibility shall be restricted to either refund without any compensation what so ever or keep the money for the next available tour if the customer so desires.
  • Travels Company shall not be responsible for any injury, illness or death, terrorist attack, accident or for any damage or claims whatsoever arising from lose. The operator is not responsible for any criminal conduct by the third party.
  • Cancellation must be made in writing.
  • All disputes/ legal claims are subject to Dehradun jurisdiction only.

    ABOUT CHARDHAM YATRA

    Char Dham is referred to the four Hindu religious sites in Uttarakhand state of India. These are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath. Nestled in the lap of majestic Himalayas, these four sites are the epicenter of religious activity in north India. Traditionally, the Chardham yatra is undertaken from the west to the east. Thus, the yatra starts from Yamunotri, then proceeding to Gangotri and finally to Kedarnath and Badrinath.
